Accessibility
Last updated 3 November 2026
We want everyone to be able to browse, choose and buy from Weftline, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This statement says what we do, what we know isn’t perfect yet, and how to reach us.
Our standard
This store aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act and most accessibility laws.
What we’ve done
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Text and controls meet AA colour contrast in light and dark mode, in every theme the store offers.
- Images have descriptions; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- Forms have visible labels, say which fields are required, and explain errors in words next to the field and in a summary.
- Menus, the bag, filters and dialogs follow standard patterns: Esc closes them and focus returns where you were.
- Motion and animation stop when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Pages still work zoomed to 400% and on small screens without scrolling sideways.
How we test
Each page is checked automatically with axe in light and dark mode at phone, tablet and desktop sizes, and by hand with a keyboard and a screen reader (NVDA with Chrome on Windows, VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS).
Known limitations
- Some older product photos have short descriptions. We’re rewriting them as we reshoot.
- Payment pages are run by our payment provider; we choose providers that meet WCAG 2.2 AA and report problems to them.
